Some of you may remember my posting about the Mauna Kea Observatories this past summer. If not, you can read it here.
This is a world class observatory site, and most astronomers would love to get time there at some point in their career.  But, of course, you can only observe when the skies are right. When it is cloudy, the instruments are not working, or things are just going badly, you need something to keep yourself amused. Thanks to Scott for emailing me with this YouTube parody of the famous song by The Eagles called Hotel California. The parody is called Hotel Mauna Kea. Anyone who has done real astronomical research or serious amateur astronomy can sympathize and get a chuckle out of this. And, I think a lot of others will find it amusing, too.
