AAS LogoThis coming week, the American Astronomical Society (AAS) will be holding its winter meeting in Austin, Texas. That is just a few hundred miles from here, so it is fairly convenient for me to go. Even better, I get to miss the silly week full of meetings that precedes the Spring Semester, which begins as soon as I get back!

Last year, this meeting was in Seattle, and I blogged from the meeting.  I will try to do the same thing this time.  But, things might get a little hectic, so posting may be a bit irregular this next week.  If any of my readers are going to be at the meeting, I may see you there.

Astronomy Cast is going to be there in force, so keep an eye out for us. And we’ll be doing a meetup on Tuesday night, 8pm at the Iron Cactus. See if you can attend.
