This has been an extremely hectic week for me, with lots of meetings, lots of paperwork, and plenty of other things to take my time. So, I don’t have time for much in the way of posting. However, I thought that I’d mention that there will be a star party this weekend in the town of Acton (near Granbury), south of Fort Worth, Texas.
The star party will be held at the Acton Nature Center. The activities will start with public presentations on astronomy at the community center in Acton at 7:30pm (located at the Volunteer Fire Center). There will be door prizes given away, and then observing commences at the nature center itself (a short drive from the community center) at dark.
If you live in the area, you might check it out. They are a new group, and they are trying to get star parties going there.
