Hmm. Mary Jo tagged me with this meme. I am supposed to tell five things that people probably didn’t know about me.
1) I don’t know how to swim. My Mom was terrified of water, and never let my Dad teach me how to swim when I was a child, and I never learned as an adult, either.
2) I have flown in an open cockpit biplane.
3) I once got to meet Sergei Khrushchev when he came and spoke at our college. It wasn’t just me, of course. There were about a dozen of us that had dinner with him.
4) In noisy environments, I have trouble distinguishing individual sounds. At parties, in loud restaurants, or loud bars, I am often very quiet, and people probably think that I am being unsocial. But, really, I just can not hear anything that anyone is saying, so I can’t carry on a conversation. All the sound blends together for me.
5) I have been to 11 other countries outside of the United States, but none of them have been south of the Earth’s equator.I am not tagging anyone, but if anyone reads this, feel free to tag yourself! Then leave a trackback to your post, or at least a comment so that others can find it and read it.
